Worlds’ Fair Teapot

My mother, her mother & her aunts visited the 1939 – 1940 World’s Fair in New York City. Millions of people from all around the world visited the fair, enjoying the exhibits and tasting the food. My family lived in New York City and were able to visit it on more than one occasion. I have their souvenirs from the fair.

The Trylon and Perisphere were the symbols of the fair and were represented on many of the souvenirs including this teapot that belonged to my great aunts. I love that the teapot is still such a brilliant cobalt blue  more than 70 years after the fair.
